Katherine (Kathy) Nicholas
I did not know Dr. Blackburn personally but he lived down the street from my Mother in San Antonio. She often spoke about how kind he was and how generous he was to host the fun and entertaining annual neighborhood parties in River Bend. I know his son John from high school.
I wish to extend my condolences to the family and friends of Dr. John Blackburn.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We love and will miss Dr. B! He has been an awesome mentor, friend and physician of mine since 1986! He was our SWT alumni doctor. I will never forget him and the wonderful things he did for me an so many others. Dr. B thank you for all of the goodtimes at your house and the lake! We will miss you dearly!

You and your staff assisted both me and my family on mny occasions. Dr. was always there when we needed him. He would always answer our inquiries about our health. We thank Dr. Blankburn and his great staff for helping my family and I when we needed his assistanc. He was a great doctor.

Dr. B was our doctor and friend for nearly 30 years, from the early days of Thousand Oaks Clinic. He was an excellent physician who truly cared for his patients and a generous and loving individual. Although we haven't seen him since his retirement, we have thought of him often.
To his children and grandchildren, who were lights of his life, we offer our deepest condolences for your loss. You were blessed to have him as a father and grandfather.

DEAR BLACKBURN FAMILY, DENNIS AND I WERE IN VET SCHOOL TOGETHER AND LATER WHEN I MOVED TO SAN ANTONIO, FOUND HE WAS VERY CLOSE TO MY VET CLINIC. HE WAS MY PRIMARY CARE DR. AND TWICE HE SAVED MY LIFE. Dr. Blackburn was such a good man. He treated me for my asthma/allergies for many many years. When I didn't have insurance, he used to give me my meds at no charge, and it was rare that I was ever charged full price for an office visit. I used to work at a tobacco store, and would see him weekly...he loved his Davidoff Cigars. Dr. Blackburn was my favorite customer, Dr. , and friend. He will truly be missed.
