What a really neat man! I wondered what happened to him. He always brightened the little bar I ran back in the late 60's. Everybody was happy to see Marty, not because he always bought a 'round', but because he brought energy and joy, he 'filled' the bar with happiness and laughter. Thank you Marty.

Peace be with you. My dad was Sandy, who was both the catcher and manager for Fred's Place. Marty was the first baseman. Great times at Polo Field with team and family.
