Lily Delphine (Mathis) Wilke, age 87, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, February 2, 2013, in San Antonio.

She was born on September 21, 1925. Lily was a native San Antonian and she graduated as Valedictorian of her class from St. Michael’s School and received a BA degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in 1982. She had been a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1949. Lily retired in 1986 after over 24 years of faithful service at Kelly Air Force Base as an Administrative Officer. She enjoyed gardening, reading, time with the grandchildren and listening to classical and 40’s music. She collected cookbooks and quilt books.

Lily is survived by her husband of 62 years, Elmer G. Wilke; sons, E. Gordon Wilke, Jr. and wife Rhonda, and Dr. Paul G. Wilke and wife Connie; 4 grandchildren, Robert, Anna Wilke Tubb and husband Wyatt, Bekah and Sharon Wilke.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m., Friday, February 8, 2013, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
