Life Legacy
Mary Tonkovich, age 85, of San Antonio, TX died on Friday, January 20, 2012. She was born in Anmoore, WV on September 21, 1926 to parents, Joe and Nola Alvarez.
She married Luke Tonkovich of Fairmont, WV on June 28, 1952 in Zeising, WV.
They loved to dance the jitterbug. She and Luke moved to Alaska and became the proud parents of three beautiful daughters.
In 1969, the family moved to Texas.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Luke Tonkovich.
She is survived by her daughters: Patricia Hitch and her husband Rodney of Boerne, TX; Cecilia Swenson and her husband Michael of Southlake, TX; and Maria Ballard of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren: Luke Hitch, Christopher Hitch, Lauren Swenson, Chad Swenson and Heather Ballard.
