Life Legacy


William Michael Rork, 57, of San Antonio died Tuesday afternoon, February 6, 2006, in San Antonio.

Funeral services will be Friday morning, February 10, 2006, at 10 a.m. at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church with Dr. Harold Burkhardt officiating.

The graveside service in San Angelo on Saturday will be conducted by the Rev. Larry Howard, pastor of the First United Methodist church, at 10 a.m. in Fairmont Cemetery.

William, a native of San Angelo, Texas, graduated from Southern Methodist University and The University of Texas School of Law.

He was discharged from the United States Air Force with the rank of Captain. Bill was a member of the Texas State Bar Association, Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. Civic affiliations included San Antonio Museum of Art, Botanical Society, Project Learn to Read, Wild Life Rescue & Rehabilitation and Humane Society/SPCA. He enjoyed a wide circle of friends, was an avid gardener, voracious reader of English mysteries, and a seasoned traveler. Bill is survived by two brothers, Robert Terry Rork and wife Linda of San Antonio, Louis Edward Rork and wife Kay of San Angelo, nephews, Jon Dickson and wife Molly, Patrick Rork and wife Jill, and nieces, Sharon Rork Schwab and husband Joey, Jana Rork Burk, Channing Bushnell and husband Richard, and 10 great-nieces and nephews. Flowers or memorials to one of the above reference organizations would be equally welcomed.
