Life Legacy

SINKIN

William “Bill” Rashall Sinkin, 100, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 in San Antonio.

Bill’s passing released a tsunami of his love
That swept through San Antonio
Breaking open hearts
Knocking down fences
Drowning out conflicts
Cleansing and healing an entire community.

San Antonio remembered itself
To be an expression of the Divine Feminine
Infused with strength and gentleness
Capable of transforming herself
Through a more perfect communion
With the creative force at its core.

As the waves receded,
New shoots broke through the ground
Holding the promise of a better world
No longer in denial about what needed fixing
And confident that anything can be fixed.

That humble pride
Emerged to guide those who understood
That Bill’s real legacy was to model
A true citizen
Prepared to do whatever he could
To improve the lives of those he touched.

Having completed his mission
And released back into his beloved home
The loving energy accumulated
From a lifetime of true service,
Bill changed address
And prepared to take on his next mission.

Those who had the pleasure and honor
Of sharing time with him on this planet
Can walk out into the sunshine
And crisp air after the storm has past
And dream dreams of what can be.

Bill has gifted us with the energy of pure love
That we are now called to use
For the highest good to benefit all.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Nathan; mother, Bella; wife, Fay M. Sinkin; his brother, Sam; and his sister, Rosalie;

He is survived by his sons, Richard Sinkin (Merrilee), and Lanny Sinkin; granddaughters, Patti Leigh (Mike), Kata Hancock (Clint), Amelia Sinkin; great grandchildren, Justin Hancock and Jessica Hancock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
