Rick and the Racoon

Back in the early days when Rick Mitch and I where still on bicycles(which we must have ridden a 1,000 miles). I went over to their house one day Rick and Mitch where building a cage for a baby racoon. You see Mr Poe aka H.E. had to go into the attic the night before to eradicate some racoons and came down with a little boy which Rick and Mitch named Arther.
Arther must have imprinted on Rick and Mitch because he began to follow them everywhere just like a dog, we would get Arther get on the bicycles and ride all over the neighborhood, most kids had a dog or a cat we had a coon that most dogs where scared of. We would take him to the creek and go swimming, catch crawdad's and have the best time with Arther. Sometimes when H.E and Betty where not home Rick would bring him into the house and oh did Arther like to explore and get into things, if you has a sandwich he would jump into your lap and help himself, he also liked to stick in hands inside your shirt pocket to see what you had.
Arther was very smart and after awhile he learned how to unlock his gage and let him self out for a night on the town, the first couple of times he came back the next morning, until he met a lady and never returned.
