Life Legacy
WHITMORE
LTC Paul Thomas Whitmore, USAFR (Ret), of San Antonio entered rest on Thursday, February 2, 2012. He was born in Medina, Texas on March 19, 1921 to Margaret Jane Shuptrine Whitmore and James Hiram Whitmore.
Paul’s early schooling was in Medina. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Texas A & M University. While in the service he had the opportunity to attend Yale University in a special engineering program. He was retired from City Public Service after 37 years.
Paul was a past Chairman of the South Texas Chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers. He was a member of The Sons of the Republic of Texas, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Sons of the American Revolution, American Legion, AFA, and ROA. Paul was a Methodist.
He appreciated being able to attend Castle Hills First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all outdoor activities especially at his place in the upper hill country. He was a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Rochelle Bargsley Whitmore; his son, Paul Thomas Whitmore, Jr.; a nephew, Edward Paul Whitmore and niece, Pamela Kay Spivey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dr. Ralph Martin Whitmore.

A private interment will be held at San Jose Burial Park.
